Hello ppl, im a 22 year old male who has battled with weight problems for near enough all my life but more recently around 5 years ago i was 16 stone and from then to around a few months maybe 3 months i weighed a staggering 23 stone 3 lbs, now must of you will agree thats some number to be looking at on the scales, i believe through weight gain i became depressed, i went to the doctors and the doctors prescribed me depression tablets that was 4 years ago, and for 4 years i took them and struggled, struggled with life basically couldnt lift myself from my bed, hygiene went right down the pan! Words cannot describe the way things were, within the last 2 years i just stopped associating with friends had no life, miserable, and basically didnt live i exsisted, weight always seemed to be behind everything, my confidence had all gone i stopped my education i lived to fight another day every day and everyday another littlebit of me was lost. 3 months ago something changed within me, it was like something or someone gave me renewed energy to change my life, i canned my depression tablets i knew i couldnt depend on them it has to be me that must change my life not medication. today i am currently sitting at 21st 10lbs(with also following slimming world) i am more active + socialising that bit more( still self concious) so i have lost 21lbs i can say now that with being 21lbs lighter im much happier, optimistic and starting back to college in september!!! The weight loss although be it quiet small for i have a hell of alot more to go, has done so much more for me than the medication could ever have done.... the reason why ive basically put mylife story up is that if anyone here or who might come on here are faced with the same prob, that they are not alone it happens anyway....
I do have a few questions for you lot regarding weight loss, as you can see ive been doin weight loss pretty slow, first and foremost because i do not want to have loose skin, however i do want to speed it up a bit by the usual methods of excercise and proper eating,as im starting back to college in september im making that a date for a huge drop now in my weight. i have a good three months and i was wondering would it be wrong to try to loose around a stone a month? I have every confidence that its possible however loose skin is the thing im worried about, and if so should i start toning now along the way or wait to i loose another few?? Answers wouldbe great cheers :-)
