I am wondering, when I exercise it adds more calories. Am I supposed to use those, I wouldnt lose then would I? Kinda confusing. Also, when you end up with negatives(in the red) you need more of this?

MFP is designed this way :
Enter your activity level accurately.
Eat all the calories it gives you - INCLUDING those EARNED for exercise. You earned it. Eat it. Your body needs fuel.
If you go OVER your numbers, the total will be in RED. For example, if you eat too many calories, the EXCESS calories show you in RED.0 -
Mfp is designed with a calorie deficit already calculated so if you eat the exercise calories you put in you should still lose. You dont NEED to eat them but its sometimes a good idea so your body gets the fuel it needs. Also the activity level you put in (sedentary, lightly active etc) affects the number of calories you get per day so if you factored in your workouts when you set your goals, DONT eat your calories back or youll end up eating more than you need.0
