I was standing in a tank top with my arms resting on my hips and my boyfriend says, "wow your arms are getting buff". I said I know! Thank you, but then he says "be careful, you don't want to get manly arms" ouch, rude!!! I'm proud of my arms, well my upper arms at least (still have wings :-/)
So I just walked away but seriously that was harsh.

LoL...my thoughts exactly.... "well then at least one of us has some manly arms"..0 -
SO said something similar. Challenged him to arm wrestling and won0

Men think they're being funny. Different type of brain. heh.0

I would still take that as a compliment... I would have laughed at the second part.0

Not intimidated, it's that filter thing...what he said...to a guy, would have been perfectly acceptable. Sometimes we get so comfortable with our partner, that dumb crap like that just flows on out.
And for some of us...it's just a natural state lol.
To all you girls beating your men in arm wrestling...seriously?
Tell that man to pick up his own laundry for a week! Should solve that problem.

He's a cardio queen. He started lifting more after I beat him... And due to him being a dude, he can beat me now, but at least I can put up a good fight0 -

Good girl!
I've got to say though...if I had a girlfriend and she called me an anything 'Queen'...I'd hand in my man card immediately lol =p.0 -

Bought him a man card from men's humor and damn near immediately had to revoke it.0 -

Ahh well, make him earn it back...he'll be the better for it0 -
I'd take "man arms" as a compliment...and as a sign that he's insecure. :laugh:0
-
Well if it was just careless I won't be mad. But I was a lil offended.0
-
I would have punched him! lol0
-
He doesn't know what he is talking about. I don't think I have ever seen strong arms that didn't look great.0

 That would kill off his ego for sure0 -
You should have used your big manly arms to punch him in the face.0
-
It wasn't meant as an insult. We don't try to guess what we should say. We will get it wrong regardless.0
-
I see a lot of similarities in the posts about our men ( "Sounds like something mine would do" "Mine said the same thing" etc, etc).
Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL CUT FROM THE SAME CLOTH!! **
Don't be offended Brandi, we've all heard something equally ridiculous from our man at one point or another. I really do think it's just a filter thing. And if it's any consolation, I think you look sensational!
** No misandry here, move along folks0
