didgital scales...accurate??

I tossed my old weighing scale for a digital. How accurate are the digital scales? When I weighed myself this morning I read that I gained a pound even though I lost two recently. So I re-weighed myself a couple more times and got the numbers I was hoping for. But which numbers are accurate? The first try or the second??? Any advice/help on this is greatly appreciated!:flowerforyou:

With ours you have to make sure it's on a level surface. It can be pretty inconsistent when used on our tile floor as the tiles are not as level as a regular floor. I weigh with the scale on a laminate floor.

The first scales are correct by basis of comparison. The second are now correct for future comparisons. So... yes you've lost 2lbs, now write down the digital number and weigh yourself against that next time. As has been said, take care with surfaces and digital scales.
  • for all the wanders of modern rechnogaly it would not surprise me if it has some modern quirks.

on the mechanical ones i got to help me keep track, they have to be adjusted to the correct zero point if not used daily.

It's worth reading the manual it will tell you if you have to step on and off a couple of times and how to calibrate it correctley and how often you might need to do so.

if you do not have the instructions the manual or information should be be avaiable online, if you know the make and possiable the model range/number
