My name is Charmaine. I am a married mum to 2 teenagers. I have found myself with more time for me now that the kids aren't as reliant on me for daily routine.
Ive been using MFP for a while but have fallen off the wagon recently. I wrote a post under my blog name of shamzscrapz telling you all a little more about myself.
I am interested in Nutrition, i have studied a module so far. I also enjoy menu planning, healthy living and exercising.
I have only been doing regular exercise for the last 4 years i guess. I don't need to lose weight, I love reading health magazines and probably have every free fitness app out there:)
I am using MFP to help me make better and healthier changes to my life.
My favourite thing to do is take my puppies for a walk/run along the creek. Failing that we like to run around our property.
My hubby and i have just done our first body pump class together, and we will do it again. I really enjoy body balance as i feel the need to stretch and gain more flexibility.
I have found POP Pilates on the net and enjoy doing this on a morning when time permits.
I have just started running and have found it addictive, but isn't it funny how you can run for 20 mins non stop on the treadmill but barely run 2 minutes outside, haha well thats what i have found:)
I come from a small country town and don't have alot of classes available but i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a go at Piloxing, Zumba, and RPM.
I tried kickboxing and loved it! Cost permits me from doing this as well as the gym (two memberships needed) so i have a bag at home and am researching some routines for me to do by myself and with hubby sparring.
I look forward to chatting more.

Hi Charmaine, my name is Nellie.
I can relate to being in a small town with limited access to the gym classes. When I lived in the city I love the group classes - I found they motivated me so much more than just the treadmill and solo exercises. Having said that, I am hiring an elliptical cross trainer at the moment (hire before buy in case I lose my mojo!!) and am loving it. I definitely notice the difference if I don't exercise! My mum is a yoga teacher and is looking at moving up closer to me (she currently lives 2,000km away), so it would be wonderful to get back into yoga!
What sort of puppies do you have? I am a huge dog lover! Although am sadly in between dogs at the moment. Have always kept Great Danes and can't wait to get another one. they are such a joy.0 -

I love the body pump classes. Our next goal together is to start kickboxing......im still running, but have had a break for a bit:) Time to get some routine back.
My kids are both driving now so my youngest will be able to drive herself to school and work now, so my early afternoons will be back to being mine YAY! I will be going back to the gym for cardio and maybe running up the bleachers for fitness and the butt
So this along with the other things i would like to do, as well as use the new home equipment we have this will be my year to strong, long and lean:)
MY puppies (well they will be 4 this year, but they are little) are a Jack Russell X and the other is a ****zu X Chihuahua.
I love their energy and they make me happy.
A wee bit smaller than Great Danes...they are beautiful dogs too aren't they?0 -
