I've been trying to loose weight since January this year by watching what I eat, calorie counting and lots of cardio however I want to take this to the next level and start weight lifting, I started this last week by doing weights 4 days a week : Monday - Chest and Triceps, Tuesday - Legs and Abs, Thursday - Back and Biceps and Friday - Shoulders, Traps and Abs plus I'm going to do hip hop abs 5 days a week and go for a 11.5km jog once a week as well - however I need support in regards to what I need to eat, I know I need to eat a good amount of protein & cut down on carbs (need a six pack) but I'd love to have MFP friends who can also inspire me.

Not sure how much you're eating now, but you're going to need to eat quite a bit to sustain all that. Also, don't forget that your body is going to need a day of rest and recovery :).

add me if you want, Davidson here is right, you need to eat a lot to gain muscle your body wont build up if its calorie intake doesnt encourage the increase in mass

I was going to have 3 meals per day plus healthy snacks & protein shakes but not quite sure what supplements to take, does anyone have any suggestions?

depends on what you want out of them, I take NO Xplode pre-workout, and Cell-Tech with gatorade post workout, Amino-X but ill probably not use that anymore I dont think its significant enough. I use a joint supplement which is almost necessary for me. and whey and casein proteins. but thats just me I lift heavy and twice a day
