body mass, fat percentage and depression!

So, I recently found this website which is really one of the best things ever. The diary for food and exercise makes it really easy to stay on track. I've had 'bouts' of fitness over the past few years but I'm really trying to stay on track and lose a lot of weight. I probably have a good 50-70 lbs to lose. I find myself reading health tips and fitness tips and it always comes back to BMI and body fat indexes. I have to say, I get really discouraged and end up feeling awful when I see which range I likely fit into. I"m already eating better, exercising, making sure my body is getting enough of what it needs and not under-eating. I can't help but feel discouraged though when I see the 'label' of where my body is compared to where I want to be. What does every one do to keep from feeling so discouraged?
