Hey, I am new here. I actually signed up on MFP a year or two ago, and was active with logging my food and exercise for about a month. Then I fell off the wagon and completely disappeared. I am back now, and am fully committed to getting this weight off this time.
For the past 7-8 weeks (since the beginning of April) my wife and I decided it was time to get serious. We completely changed the way we were eating....no more eating out/ordering in, no more skipping breakfast, no more binge eating at night before going to bed, etc... For the first 7 weeks, I have dropped a total of 40.2 lbs, and have gone from 410 lbs down to 369.8 lbs. I have dropped two pant sizes, and am back in 3x shirts. I am feeling so much better, and have a lot more energy!
I haven't actually been logging my nutritional intake and exercise, so I decided to get back on MFP so I can do that. I feel it will help me become even more efficient in my weight loss journey. I did not really use the community last time I was on MFP. That was probably a contributing factor in my failure at the time.
I have lost weight before (125 lbs on Nutrisystem) and I was very active in the community of their site. I was able to get a lot of inspiration and motivation by reading the blogs and participating on the message boards. So I plan on doing the same here.
I ended up gaining all of that weight back plus 40 lbs, after I stopped eating the Nutrisystem food. I feel that is because I didn't really learn how to eat healthy and make it a lifestyle. I just ate the prepackaged food and it was pretty easy. Then when I stopped I had no idea how to cook and make my own meals, so it was easy for me to fall back into my bad eating habits and start eating out all the time.
Anyway, that is a little about me. I am serious this time! I had a total of 235 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight of 175, and I have already lost 40 of it....so I have a pretty good start. Now I just plan on just moving forward and staying focused on my goal.
If you want, please feel free to add me as a friend! I love watching others on their weight loss journeys. I love the inspiration and motivation I get. I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend. Catch ya later!
