To lose your last 10 lbs, what did you have to do different from what you were normally doing? Did you have to cut out alcohol completely, totally eat clean, increase your workouts, take any weight loss supplements or what?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Smaller calorie deficit (half pound a week), time and patience.

I'm currently on the last 10 pounds and I have shifted my focus. I am eating super clean (ruthlessly cutting out all processed carbohydrates and most dairy except my newest addition: raw goat's milk) and strength training several times a week. In addition, everyday I attempt to be more active than I was the day before (walks, stairs, etc.). I haven't drank alcohol in two months and don't plan on reintroducing it into my diet any time soon.

Exactly this.... with big emphasis on patience

Trying for the patience. I'm on my last 10 and it's taking forever. Trying a new tact of keeping my intake fairly clean and adding more heavy weights.
  • Good question! I only wanted to lose about 25 and I am curious of this too...I hope when I finish up p90x and start doing a running hybrid it helps.

When I got down to my lowest (147) last year, I was doing a hybrid of Turbo Fire (HIIT month), ChaLean Extreme (heavy lifting), and running. I also was tracking my calories and keeping my net at about 1700.

(Note: I have slacked a lot this past year due to stress and lack of motivation, so I did gain back some of that.)
