Has anyone else been at/near goal then gained back 10-20ish pounds? How did you find your motivation to get it back off? That's where I'm at right now. I need a pep talk or something.

I did before when I lost the weight the first time.
Don't do what I did. I didn't think much of it and didn't do anything to change it. I've now gained 45lbs back from where I was and am trying to get it all off again.
Just think of where you were and use that as motivation to get back. Tell yourself you won't let yourself gain anymore of it back because you've done the whole process before and don't want to do it again. 10-20lbs is better than 500 -
I did it last year. I worked my *kitten* off and lost 30. Then I started taking a supplement that would make me crave sugar. Four months later I had regained 23 lbs back. I kept telling my self each night as I ate sweets that it wouldn't be that hard to lose again. <sigh>
I started seriously dieting and exercising with new and harder routines in Feb. 2012 and lost 32 lbs.
I will never let go so willy nilly again.0 -
I don't know what I could say to motivate you but I just wanted to tell you how amazing you are for coming so far in your weight loss journey and what an inspiration you are to someone like me. I quit MFP and weight watchers for a while and the entire time you were here. I ended up right back where I was before I lost any weight at all and look at you!! Amazing!! Seeing people like you who have put the time and effort into themselves and their health and are now reaping the rewards of it while I am still back where I started is extremely eye opening and motivational for me. You haven't given up and that is great and you look amazing! Keep it in perspective (it's only 10-20 lbs and nowhere near 97) and find the fortitude again to put the same dedication into losing these few pounds you gained back. One day at a time. Let's do this Amy!!!!!0

This is exactly what I am struggling with now. I have to face the fact that I did this. I have to own this. I know what I did wrong. Overeating is the main culprit and eating junk food and sugar. If I can just cut back on doing that I'm sure my weight loss will start back up again. My body had just had enough after losing the 25 lb and I think it was just tired of eating healthy all the time. Instead of fighting that urge, I gave in. So I have to own it. It's the only thing I can do at this point. And I gave to get back up and keep going. FIght the good fight.0
