I just grilled some summer squash on my small George and had that with a wedge of Laughing Cow light garlic and herb cheese in a toasted sandwich for lunch. YUM!
We also do burgers. (I have a ground chicken burger, hubby has a regular one!)
On my big George, we cook steak, pork cutlets, and chicken breasts.
I don't have the removable kind of grills, but I find that just swishing warm soapy water on em, and then wiping them and spraying to rinse em off works just great!0 -
it cooks REAL fast when closed, takes forever and a day to cook stuff when it's open. But in all seriousness i use for cooking most anything, prime rib steaks, kabobs, chicken for chicken salads. One tip though, don't use marinades with a lot of sugar in them, it'll just burn right to the grill top, no option for indirect heating.0

Just about anything! Use your imagination.... It makes a real good pannini (sp?) press too! Peppers, onion slices, summer squash and zuchinni, most meats. Love mine, though I've been using my outdoor grill a lot.0

I love mine Shanta!!
Use the guide that comes with it for the times. Takes the guessing out and DAYAM it is good when coooked just right.
What you say??? Everything!!
I buy frozen fish at Publix-comes 2 to a package and 1 is a serving. Get home from work, pop it frozen into a bowl with cold water (last night was swordfish)
By the time I am ready for dinner I plug in Georgie (I like to spray the grill with the olive oil spray for easier cleaning) I spray evoo on the fish, add salt pepper and some other seasoning...I used some ginger this time.
I swear it takes 5 min and it is so good!
Enjoy!:flowerforyou:0 -

Everyone's comments about things cooking fast while closed is absolutely correct. It's because the item is being cooked from the bottom and the top, so it takes 1/2 the time it would in a pan or regular grill.0

Thast good, I need to make meals fast and quick because I am a buzy body0

ooh. I remembered another.
One night I was so hungry...wanted a toasted panini but didnt want to pay the price or figure out calories.
It is AWESOME for sandwiches. I did rye, hot mustard, ham and swiss.
Ok, now I am hungry.....gotta go:drinker:0 -
I have the large one on the pedestal. I love it. Before that, I was using the charcoal grill frequently. Well too many times I ran low on charcoal or lighter fluid etc. This one can be taken of the post and used table top. I've never used it this way as I have it on my patio outside. I have saved money on my gas bill (not using stove/oven near as much) and haven't bought charcoal in a long time. I've cooked lots of things on it including; the usual burgers, steaks, brats etc, fish, veggies, potatoes, kabobs, cornish game hens. My next venture is a large turkey breast. I plan on weighing out portions and packing them in the freezer. If it had a flat plate I would even cook breakfast on it! One more thing...it doesn't heat up my house when I cook!0
