And not enough time taking care of myself! Hey MFP family! I am not new to weight loss or to MFP, but I have allowed a promotion in my career to dominate my life and cause me to lose all my fitness and pack on over 50 pounds in a year. I've already battled the feelings of depression and worthlessness but that is counterproductive and I am wasting time, and my life. My husband and I have no kids, and would like some but I want to get back in shape and get back to taking care of myself first. I would love to have some MFP friends to help me stay on track and accountable.

Feel free to add me!

Feel free to add me! I'm 28 and also working waaaay too much on top of planning a wedding and taking care of most household stuff since my fiance is in school and working (both full-time). The crazy schedule makes it really difficult to make my own health and goals a priority, especially when it comes to taking the time to work out.

Welcome. How do you plan to work back exercise and better eating into your schedule?

Vending machines were a challenge for me, especially if I was bored and unhappy and had to work long hours. So was business travel. There was often nothing to do but order room service. My then-company had a great deal with a nearby gym, but I hated seeing other people there. Sometimes I felt guilty about spending time away from the office.

I can totally relate! My husband and I also got married last summer and bought a house which then had water problems from an earthquake.....planning a wedding is so stressful!

My biggest issue right now is exercise. I used to always have jobs that allowed me to workout during lunch, or I got off early enough (by going in earlier) so that I could come home, eat a snack, workout and still have time to do all the usual veining household chores. Now I am in acomplete rat race. Another issue is because of meetings and scheduling, I rarely get to eat my snacks, or even eat lunch at a normal time, so by the time i get home (an hour and ten minute commute) I am starving and my energy is drained, I really need to make sure I eat a snack right before i leave work to have energy for my workouts when I get home. I used to run 5 plus miles 3 to 4 times a week last year, now I will be starting back with the C25K program.
