    There was some pretty cool stuff on Erovision this year.
    I went running this morning to the sounds of Russia, Moldova and Ireland - but it was hard to run because I was giggling!

    Your choices are good ones. I particularly liked the tune by Admiral Fallow.

    But I've been drifting towards more folk oriented stuff for a while now.

    My boss helps run a folk festival here on the Isle Of Wight. I get to go free every year for taking some of the pressure off at work. The music and the musicianship (equally important) are uniformly excellent. Having grown up during a time when being a good player mattered, this is important to me.

    (I'm a 60's era rocker so I'm also no stranger to folk)

    Very true. Two years ago the head liner was Speirs And Boden, (Bellowhead) and they were brilliant. Three years ago it was Mad Dog Mcrea out of Plymouth. Also excellent. Last year was a band out of Folkstone (whose name escapes me) a bunch of young players, all under 23, and they were awesome. Without a word of a lie, their bass player was the best I'd seen anywhere since John Entwistle, and I've seen hundreds of bands.

    Yep, they sure are! The new track is from The Avengers Assemble film and I gotta admit - it's the best song I've heard in a short while :)
