Just Grilled Lemon-Garlic Artichoke Hearts, Crazy Good!

Ya gotta try this. We have them growing in our garden, so what to do with all those 'chokes:

6 artichokes
Cut off the stem and then cut off the top of the artichoke to remove prickly ends.
Steam the chokes for 20-40min, until they pierce tender.

make a dressing:
2 cloves garlic crushed
3T olive oil
2T lemon juice
black pepper to taste

Prepare your grill for medium direct heat (350-400 degrees)-you can hold your hand above grate only 5-7 seconds

When steamed artichokes are cool enough to handle, cut lengthwise and scoop out feathery center. Brush with garlic mixture. Place cut side down on Grill. Grill, turning once, until lightly browned, 8-11min.
