Introducing myself.

Hello everyone. My girlfriend started doing this about a month ago and decided if she is taking the step to better herself I should as well. My problem always was that I used to be active enough to burn off the outrageous calories I ate thanks to daily Physical Training in the Army. I met her a little more than five years ago and as busy college students we ate out a lot. Many months later we had a son together and there went the time that would have been dedicated to losing weight devoted to a child and it only got worse. I want to lose weight not only for myself, but for my son. I want him to know his father as a healthy, active person in order to set a good example to him.

I started out 190 lbs. of lean muscle and now I am 259 lbs. That is entirely my fault and I am here to not only own it, but change it for the better. I hope to get to know some of you better as I tend to be a frequent forum member on whatever website I sign up with.
