So I've only been back to MFP for a couple of weeks, both of which I'd say went very, very well. I lost 8 pounds in my first week, but less than half a pound for this week.
I know I shouldn't beat myself up because there are a lot of things going on with my body right now. I'm menstruating for one, so that may account for a little bit of the weight I'm still holding. Plus, I just gave up diet soda and that might make a difference.
What I'm afraid of, though, is that I'm in a plateau because I've been more active this week, but haven't been able to consume the extra calories. I've been trying; it's hard because I'm really not hungry for them.
I know I should also start tracking my measurements because I have felt a difference with my clothes this week.
I just really need some encouraging words right now.

Same boat here! Uggh..it's so frustrating, isn't it?
I'm back here a week ago today after slacking off for about 6 months and undoing all my progress so I understand how tough it is to get back on track. You're doing well though! And I think TOM does have alot to do with it. I'm sure there's some water weight/bloating going on. I wouldn't stress about it too much. The fat that your clothes are already fitting better is a huge clue that you're doing well! Try to hang in there and just keep it up!!

You can do it! I've been going to the gym for 5 weeks now and have only lost 3 pounds! I measured myself the first week and have lost almost 9 inches total! Everything is either fitting better or is getting big. Don't give up and keep on pushing - you won't always see a big loss on the scale but you might on the measuring tape. Pull it out and measure once a week, it's worth it.
Keep up the great work!

Remember, one meal at a time, one day at a time ..... make good choices ..... get some exercise even if it's just 10 minutes at a clip ..... log everything ..... drink water ...... at least you'll be in control !0

Do you know where on the MFP settings I can log in my initial measurements? I've been wanting to enter them for a while.0

If you go to My Home and then underneath that click 'Check-In' you can input your measurements.0

Keep up the hard work and have faith in the positive changes you have made for your health. It will start to come together. I know how discouraging it can be when the scale doesn't seem to move but don't forget that looser clothing and better endurance is a sign that your program is working. Don't give up on it.0

I'm not sure it's really considered a plateau if you've been losing, and it's only been 2 weeks. A plateau would be several weeks with no loss.
You didn't gain weight in a couple of weeks. It's going to take time to take it off, just like it did to put it on.0
