Yes, go see a doctor.0

See a doctor, get a diagnosis, and stay off it for 6-8 weeks. Wear whatever brace or split or boot they might recommend. Then slowly ease back into activity.
For pain relief, ice ice baby and whatever NSAID you prefer. I prefer ibuprofen.0 -
I had a metatarsal stress fracture in my left foot last year. Basically, all the Dr. did was verify that I had a stress fracture and later verify that it was healing. I had to stop running for nearly five weeks while it healed. After that, while still painful, I was able to run on it (Dr. gave the ok). It took around 12 weeks before the pain was gone entirely.0

Triple ditto on the doctor's visit, you need to see how bad it is and make sure you take care of yourself properly so you can heal up ASAP. Good luck!0

I'm a marine so doctor's orders don't really get applied on me too much. That's why I've been running on it in pain. Thanks for the advice though everyone.0

You should definitely see a doctor. If it's a stress fracture, they may or may not treat you - I know of some people who were given a special boot to wear. But you need to make sure that it is a fracture, and only an X-ray will tell you for sure.
Meanwhile... the doctor told me to take naproxen or ibuprofen. This is not just for the pain - it also reduces swelling, making healing easier. Ice should help as well. I used a cane when I had to do a lot of walking, it helped keep pressure off my foot.0 -

Ditto this. I used to be in the military - if you go to the doctor and they give you a note indicating your work restrictions, your commanding officers/NCO's MUST abide by it. The only time it might not apply is if you are in a war zone and need to run for your life, but if you are just doing regular P.T. (or whatever the Marines call it), they can't force you (but only if you have a doctor's note).0 -
DR!!!! I have one on the top of my left foot and am currently in a boot for another 5 weeks (8 total). Rest is the only real fix for it. Otherwise it's going to be bigger trouble for you down the road!0

Keep running on a stress fracture and it will turn into a full blown break. Suck it up and get it checked.0
