Heart Rate Monitor Review

Options
Hi everyone,

DH and I purchased 2 Mio Classic HRM watches yesterday, regular for him and petite for me. They were only about $45 each at Academy Sports. If you're looking for a HRM, I recommend this one because it's good and inexpensive.

Pros:
Counts calories based on HR, age, gender, and weight
No chest strap
Easy to use
Times your workout and has a lap option
It's a watch
You can input your calories in and have it deduct your calories burned (although I haven't figured out how to do that yet)

Cons:
It doesn't constantly monitor your HR. To get your HR, you have to press a button and hold your finger on a sensor for several seconds. This can throw off your calories burned if your HR changes a lot, because you have to keep recording your HR whenever there's fluctuation.
Sometimes it has trouble getting my HR.

I have a Mio HRM and it has worked pretty well - I had to input my weight and do my resting heart first.
