I get so confused over things like sweet potatos! I measured it PRE-COOKING (7.1 OZ or 200 G) then I took off the skin and measured it on my plate- 4.1OZ/ 115 g! I am getting anywhere from 110 calories to 180 calories! I know 70 doesn't seem like a big difference...but I'm trying really hard here! What do you all think?!

For the most accuracy you should use the raw measure. The cooked measures don't know exactly how long you cooked it and how much water evaporated (thus making it lighter).

I totally get wanting to be accurate... 70 calories is 2 teaspoons of butter for that sucker! Enjoy it. :)

Concur, use the raw precooked weight.

Always pre-cooked yes, depending on the cooking, more or less water per single piece would be drained. In the end, you end up with a huge difference - on the scale only. The caloric value doesn't change (or non-important amount, maybe 0,5-1% )
