How To Stop A Binge?

So, I have been having major problems with binge eating lately. I have not been diagnosed, but I believe I have compulsive reassuring disorder and/or binge eating disorder. I have the hardest time stopping a binge once I feel it coming on. The urge has such power over me.

I am sure I am not the only one who deals with this. So my question is for anyone else who deals with this. How do you stop a binge once you feel the urge hit? Do you have any particular tips or tricks that gave helped you?

Thanks!

When I had trouble with eating too much, I used these tricks to help stop that craving:

    - Ate something extremely spicy/hot. May not be an option if you have heartburn/acid reflux/other, but I ate just enough to make me stop & curb the craving.
    - Drank a lot of something hot. Cold drinks can curb it just as well, depends on how your body reacts.
    - Did something to keep occupied. Working on something, working out, or thinking on something other than the food can be a good distraction.
    - Took a good long look in the mirror while holding what it is I wanted to eat.
    - Brushed teeth! (Y'know, I would eat that, but...I already brushed my teeth and it wouldn't taste as good now anyways.)

    - If successful, Remember that you avoided that bad craving! Your self-image and ego-boost on the scale (if trying to shed weight) can really help! :)

I've been very lucky during this journey, I've had no desire to eat like that. I have no clue how to tell you to stop.
