STUPID AIR CONDITIONING

It's supposed to be 90 degrees outside today and inside it's about 30 degrees! They always have the stupid air conditioner cranked way up in this office. Am I the only one who used to live in the midwest without an air conditioner and therefore had to adapt to the heat in the summer time? :explode:

i totally understand how you feel....everyone in my office is in short sleeves and slacks and I have a jacket and a blanket wrapped around me....0

I hate office A/C too. My space heater is on full blast now. :explode:0

I hear ya! I also hate the AC here at work. Too cold! I have a space heater at my desk on all day. I do not have AC at my home and we just use fans. I guess that is why I think AC is too cold. I am used to the heat.0

That is a weird quirk about office A/C's. You could hang meat in some offices, and others are roasting. Then, it flips in the winter.0

I hear ya!! Apparently office air conditioning = keep the place so cold that you could hang meat in here!!! I am freezing! I keep my sweaters out all year round because of the AC here.0

same here... our office is 51 degrees ... really... and it is 90 outside... the office next to ours in about 80... we have winter jackets and space heaters... :grumble:0

I can't win. When the hot flashes kick in I get too hot but my hands are still freezing.

I live in Northern Vermont where it has been cold and rainy all summer. Now, summer is short enough, but when it is cold and rainy, well, let's just say some of us go a little nuts and lose it. It is a beautiful, hot, muggy summer day out there today (finally!) and I am shivering in the office and wearing a sweater........
Makes me want to hurt someone. :explode:0 -
Glad to know I'm in good company.
Even in the summer, I've been known to wear sweaters to work since portable heaters are contraband.0 -
Luckily I am in an office all by my lonesome self, so the air gets set to whatever I want it on! And have the time I still freeze myself!0

I wish! We don't have A/C at my office. We are on the top (3rd) floor facing south and have huge 20'x5' windows that DON'T OPEN so it is always hot even in the winter. We turn the lights off most afternoons just to cool the room off a couple of degrees. My last office was over air conditioned but at least I could put on a jacket. You can only remove so many layers till before it's inappropriate for a professional environment.0
