what number to i use?

now some of you may be thinking its easy the one that pops up on the scale after you stand on it. But here is where i get confused in the morning when i wake up i weight anywhere from 3-5 lbs less than i do before bed. so do i use the lower number in the morning which is about the same every day give or take which makes me feel better or the larger number, which switches from day to day.

    For you it would be best to use the morning number. Daily random fluctuations are distracting.
    Also you are comparing like to like.
    Scales will give different readings
    Always use same scales
    try to use same time of day

    Pick one and stick with that choice. Most peopleuse the morning and it will be more reflective of your actual weight.

    Concur, pick one and stick with it. I weigh in the am and most recommendations I have seen say to weigh in the am as well. But whenever you decide stay with that time of day.

    the body is most accurate in the morning after sleeping. so most people do it then. if you do it at night, if youve had a huge eating day,or just ate a meal, it makes it different of what your true weight it.

    no right or wrong here, do it when ya wanna (highly suggest nto right after a great big meal though, that always makes me sad )haha

    If you weigh yourself at the same time of day/week then essentially the weight lost is the same amount. I think the best time is in the am, before you eat. Then it stays consistent. :)

    i would take the one in the morning BEFORE you eat anything..of course the evening one will be after all your daily consumed food, making it higher numbers..its what i do..good luck:drinker:

    I wake up on a Wednesday morning, wee, then weigh. All the wwwwwws make it easy to remember!!!

    Just pick one and stick with it.

    I usually weigh in the morning, and I notice that the weight is more consistent in the morning than the evening.

    I weigh in the morning simply because the amount of food and water I consume during the day can vary drastically. It doesn't matter as long as you are consistent.
  • i weigh myself in the morning and stick with that. you are most likely guaranteed to weigh more at night

    I only count the weight in the morning. Sometimes I will weight at night before bed so I get a morning "yay me, I lost!" even though I really didn't. It's just a silly mind-game I play with myself when I get discouraged but it so works.
