Hi, I'm starting on phase 1 of South Beach Diet. I have done it before, but I never really introduce the following food into it before. So I want to eat nuts but it said keep it at 1 serving a day, does that mean just one serving of one type of nuts or does it mean I can have different kind of nuts but one serving of each kind? Also, I found a list of phase 1 food and part of it said I can have nonfat yogurt, but in the food to avoid section, yogurt is part of it. I am a big fan of yogurt, so I really want to know if it is okay to have it in phase 1. Any idea? =]

    I think it's just one serving of one kind of nut per day. As for the yogurt, you can have plain, non fat yogurt in phase one, but you can't have yogurt with added sugar. I'm not sure if you can have the light versions that use artificial sweeteners... I don't eat those anyway, so I never really looked into them.
