One Mile Times

I have NEVER been a runner. I hated running and I hated the treadmill. Hate. I was whining to a friend about lack of results and he told me to get my butt on a treadmill and only do that. I told him I would work up to it, I figured I would start with 1 mile per day, and keep my ARC trainer to do as well. I have never in my life beaten a 14 minute mile and literally a week after doing 1 mile per day, (even took off Sat-Mon at the gym!) I am now down to 11:11. This is a HUGE NSV for me. I never thought I could get below 14, let alone, ALMOST under 11!

I wanted to see from the other ladies what your one mile times are!

(I'm 5'2", 174lbs, BF 33% so to get my hefty butt going that much was an accomplishment!)

    Check out Age-grading http://www.runbayou.com/Wavacalc.htm

That way you can compare your time against others taking their age and sex into account - otherwise comparisons are pretty pointless.

WR for 35 female is 4:13!

I understand what you said about comparisons, that is why I put my stats ;-) Thanks for the link, I'm about to check it out!

Well done with the mile timing. We do this with our running club every so often to check our progress
    I'm down to a mile in 8.54 (I'm 5.9 241lbs & 40%+ BF)
It was 4 laps of the track & I couldn't manage another step after that.
