Tesco should be ashamed of themselves......I bought a pack of their fresh fruit "berry medley" today and only when I'd eaten it did I check the nutrition label. It said 100% fresh fruit, listed no ingredients other than the fruit, so how come there are 400mg of sodium?? Disgraceful :(

there's sodium and potassium in fruit - I was just reading that about apple juice. Sodium is good for you, you're dead without it.

You need sodium every day, but just need to limit it. I think it is crazy there is that much sodium in your "fresh fruit"

I know.......I guess I was just expecting to see "trace" against the sodium though, not 400mg.

Yeah, wow. 400 mg for fruit does seem rather high.

    Thanks for posting that link

Strawberries, blueberries, grapes and blackberries - even if I allowed with a whole cup of each the sodium would only be 12mg. And there wasn't that much fruit!!

They must use sodium somehow to improve the shelf-life and/or flavour
