Hey everyone!
Just wondering has anyone on this been treated for h. pylori in their stomach? ....I was treated a few months back but I keep getting constant pain even months after......is it possible for the bacteria to not respond to the treatment already given?

Were you diagnosed with gastritis or duadenitis by any chance??0

Yes, I was infected for 8 years before being treated. Took a month of several antibiotics combined to kill it. Felt like I should rattle from all the pills I had to take. That's why I got fat. Could only eat rice, potatoes and bread, apparently what the little guys love you to eat. Anything else made me sick. It takes a lot of meds to get cured.0

Go back and see your Doctor. This is very hard to eradicate from your stomach and will often require several courses of treatment. Good luck.0

I was diagnosed with gastritis! I have been taking motilium and nexium for almost 9 months, and after I had an endoscopy in hospital, my doctor gave me 'triple therapy' for a week or two ( cant rele remember) ....i then went for a colonoscopy recently and i was diagnosed with IBS..... I really really don't think it's the IBS as all the pain I have is the exact same as when i was told that i had h pylori..... :O0 -

Tell me about it. Just hideous. And the stomach pain. Like knives twisting in there. The acid was unreal. I went through all the tests as well.....even ate a radioactive egg so they could track it's progress. I was put on all the crap like Nexium....didn't do a thing. The only cure is a certain combination of antibiotics (I believe it was 5 kinds for me) that had to be taken. Usually treatment is 2 weeks, but it took 4 for me because of having it so long and being so sick. Feel free to friend me if you need someone to help/support you.
Note: You are eating carbs to soak up the acid because that is what the critters want. They live in the perfect place, just inside the stomach lining and thrive on acid. Yet they stay where they don't get hurt by acid. When I found out the details it just creeped me out. Mis-diagnosis is common for this. You can test negative for h. pylori and still have it because the test is not very accurate.0 -

My parents thought i was making the whole pain up for attention. Sent me spiralling into depression with the constant pain and being called a whinger ....you have officially scared the life out of me calling them critters......i will be traumatized going to bed tonight thinking of them....i have done a lot of research and the cause say its possible to get this from consumption of fecal matter? please tell me this is bull****? i don't remember eating animal ****0 -
Also wanted to mention..........when I got treated I was told that within 2-5 days, if the treatment is working, you should start feeling GREAT. It's a sign they are being killed off. If you're still having stomach pain, I think you may need another round of treatment. When they are eradicated, trust me, you can feel the difference in how you feel. Please go back to the doc and let him/her know.0

I had it too. Both of them -- mine was stressed induced with ulcers and then I lost my gall bladder. Best of luck to you sweetie -- and no parent should ever think you are lying to them, especially with that kind of pain. If you only knew -- the doctor in the ER thought I was lying when I went in on a weekend with the pain. She sent me home, I was admitted two days later and was in for a month with issues. Some people!0
