Zumba - how to measure it

I don't see zumba under the cardio exercises. Anyone else know what to measure this under?

    I use a zumba calculator. you can visit http://www.zumbacalories.com/ and they ask for your weight..level of intensity and workout minutes.

    Livestrong.com says that you can't really say because it's subjective, but it's anywhere from 360 to 532 per hour class....So I think I'm going to add it to the database as 446 ((532-360)/2+360 per hour and caveat it if I can.

    The only way you can be sure though is to buy a HRM. I've heard good things about the calculator if you can't afford one however.
  • Hey, thanks! That calorie burn sounds a lot more reasonable than mfp's "dancing". I know how hard I work in Zumba. And it's more the rate that I run at--not walk.

    You can burn up to a little over 1000 if you do the whole hour...I don't I do about 30 min. and still burn at least 500 and that's low impact.
