Newbie to myfitnesspal - drop me a line

Hi folks. Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Gabby and I am from Connecticut... I am looking for a good food tracker and someone I know had recommend that I look into this... I am not sure of my goals. In 2004, I had the gastric bypass. I also underwent an abdominalplasty in 2008. I have lost 150 lbs and have kept it off. That's the good part.

Right now - despite my education with diet and weight loss and the procedures that have helped me; I feel like I live on an island. While I have kept the eating habits given to me regarding the gastric bypass - most foods except for corn and soda are allowed. When I had my surgery - I could eat everything afterwards.. I take after my dad - he has an iron stomach.. :)))

My fitness goal: To get a hard body. While I am still over 200 pds and 5'0" - I am hoping to get down to around 125 lbs. The calories that they give me to eat are a lot. As most dieters know - once you have been dieting you understand where about you should be with calories. For me once you have had the gastric bypass you are never to go over 900 calories. I myself 1,000.

So while my profile is giving me 2pd goal as I chose - I know i am going to just simply write in the diary.

How is everyone doing. Anyone out there have the gastric bypass? I had the actual surgery and not the laproscopy which is less invasive.

I am also going to look on the food list. I sometimes eat certain store-bought packaged food and I am hoping that the listing is here.

Okay - anyone wanting to say hello or howdy doody - please drop me a line

Hi Gabby. My name is Tina I am 50 years old and live in Wi, I had a stroke a year ago so then quit smoking and basically after 6 weeks of speech and physical thereapy I laid around feeling sorry for myself. I went from full time work to part time so a lot less active but I do walk 2 miles 3 to 5 times a week. That however has not allowed me to loose any weight and my doctor says dont worry about it, because i quit smoking and that along with all the meds I am on is saving my life.,Making me gain weight, but keeping my alive longer.
I have two birth children ages 28 and 22 and two wonderful step children who are 34 and 30. I also have 6 grandchildren. Am looking for a little help on this journey and would love to see you at the end,
