Need more fiber

I am tracking every bite I eat, and I'm going low-ish carb (not going crazy, not doing it ever day, etc) but trying to keep carbs under 100mg/day. The only day I have gotten even CLOSE to getting my recommended fiber intake, I overate. So how do you get healthy fiber? Even when eating salad every day I wasn't coming close to enough... to the point that I am considering adding fiber as a supplemement. Everything else - protein, carbs, fat, sodium, I'm coming in OK at as far as I can tell. But I know I need more fiber. Help! :)

I have read and was suggested to take flax seed for more fiber. I take Metamucil though to up my fiber- 25 calories per tsp and 3 grams of fiber, 7 carbs.

Flax meal and psyllium husks are excellent sources of natural fiber.

    Edit to add chia seeds.

Awesome suggestions!! Thanks guys!!! I have flax at home, just need to incorporate it into some cooking. In the meantime I bought some chewable tablets, sugar free fiber choice, to supplement until I get the hang of incorporating it into my dietl. And I bet I could mix the fiber one cereal with my usual trail mix breakfast...hmmmmm... thanks guys!! :)
