cardio vs. weight training

i am so frustrated-- i work out 5-6 days a week with three of those days doing strength training. i can NOT seem to get under 146.2 pounds. i'm starting to wonder if it's due to the weight lifting. i want to stop for a few weeks to see if that makes a difference, but i don't want to lose what i've gained <--- strength, that is! i've lost weight much more easily in the past (was down to 128 pounds), and it was without strength training. i mostly ran, swam, and did boot camp-type classes. so....should i dump the weights and see what happens?? kinda nervous =/ i've been trying really hard to stay at or slightly under my calorie goal, and it's really not that hard for me. i don't think i should eat even less though-- any thoughts? help please
