I have been on MFP for 12 weeks now -- I am 34/M started at 510 lbs. The first 6 weeks I lost a combined 17 lbs, since then I have lost 3. What am I doing wrong -- if anything? I have never since I started gone over on my calories for the daily consumption and have cut myself to the daily goal of -300 from what MFP has for the preset intake I have it set for 2600 and it said I should be at 2930. Since I have started I am usually between -600 and -800 for the week from the -300 goal that I have on the MFP planner. What can I do different, can I supplement with any "diet helpers"? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks -- Dan

Hi!
Do this:
1. Ignore the MFP calculator.
2. Eat normally for two weeks, but diligently track your calorie intake and body weight.
3. Total up all your calories during that time period.
4. If you lost weight, add pounds lost x 3500 to the calorie total. If you gain weight subtract pounds lost x3500 from the total.
5. Divide the total by the number of days (14 in this case).
6. The resulting number is your TDEE. Eat 500 calories less than your TDEE everyday to lose 1lb per week.
Redo this periodically. You'll be fine.0
