Hi all,
I love a good smothie in the morning... but I want to add protien powder for a protien boost . I am soooooo lost when it comes to picking stuff like this out.
When I go to GNC, I feel like the guys is just selling me stuff.
Suggestions, please at least I can research before I to the store.
And also share your favorite "whey" <<<< ha haha get it .. to enjoy protien

GNC's AMP Wheybolic 60 is the one I like the best. It's a little pricey. My boy suggests Myotein, but I've never tried it. I sometimes use EAS. I get it at a good price and Sam's or BJ's wholesale club.0

Yep... IMy gym uses EAS, and Ive seen it at Sam's club. Im might try that one!!0

I use Vega. It's vegan and I'm not, but I like it. I have also used Gold Standard Whey from Optimum Nutrition, chocolate and strawberry flavors. I use just water with the Vega, but I used unsweetened coconut milk and sometimes unsweetened almond milk in the whey. I have good things about Kaizen and NOW Foods products...0

I use Allmax's whey, they're a little pricey but a very good product0

It's really hard to get the protein that you need without a shake, especially on a busy schedule. I buy the Muscle Milk brand of whey from Costco and drink 1-1.5 scoop with a tbls of natural peanut butter every morning on my way to work. This gives me 27-40g and the cost is $45 for a 6lb bag. You can also get 2lb tubs of Body Fotress whey at Wal-Mart for @ $17.
a really great shaker bottle is the Blender Bottle bottle at Target for $7 ... it has a little springy ball inside that helps everything mix up well .. I typically drink mine with plain water and peanut butter but have also shaken in oats. Skim milk or silk with make it creamier but will bump up the carbs / cals which isn't a big deal if the rest of your day looks good. I try not to drink more than one a day but sometimes drink two. Real lean protein from fish, chicken, tuna, fat free cottage cheese is always better.0 -
Oh yeah ... I forgot about smoothies because I've been on a low carb cut, but those are great w powder as well. I have a Ninja blender (because I can't afford a Vitamix) and will buy the frozen fruit at costco in the big bags ... really great with some silk or skim milk and vanilla powder! You get a carb and a protein fix. I have blended in oats, carrots, baby squash, berries, mangoes, pineapples .. smoothies rock!1

My husband and I both use Body Fortress. We keep a variety of flavors stocked. He drinks them just with water, I prefer to make them into smoothies when I get home from the gym, delicious0
