My brother's ex-girlfriend claimed that she was pregnant. The dates did not match up, and she would never say where she was going to the doctor. She told me the doc was going to tell her at 17 weeks what the baby was (which we all know is 20 weeks), and that she was due 10-29-12. She told my brother in the beginning of March that she was 3 months along, coincidentally confirmed while she was in TX, but doing a reverse due date calculator shows she would have not even conceived until the beginning of February with that due date! The kicker is she was texting my mom the week before she claimed she had a miscarriage, and asked her specifically what her symptoms were. THEN, she started claiming those symptoms, and that when she went tot he doc, she was supposedly 14 weeks along, and the fetus had stopped growing at 9! Now, I have never had an actual miscarriage, only a tubal and 2 successful pregnancies.
A. If the fetus was dead for 9 weeks, wouldn't her body have been causing her major problems within those 5 weeks?
B. The doc wouldn't have heard a heartbeat at her 12 week appointment!!!!
Am I right on this?!! I can't post it on FB because her family is on my firneds list. I'm so worked up over this little drama queen today!

She just wants attention. He should stay far away from her! He doesn't need a drama queen in his life0

I think your brother should go have a nice strong drink!0

You should see what she was posting about him on FB! I called her out on it, and she responded "I just can't take this" and deleted me! lol0

What was she saying???0

I have had 3 miscarriages. As for your question about Her body causing her problems. My longest pregnancy that ended in miscarriage was just over 13 weeks with the baby not developing after 6 weeks. Up until week 6 I had the normal pregnancy symptoms, but they suddenly all disappeared and I felt totally normal until I started to miscarry. As for her dates not matching up...that I definitely can't explain. Sounds like trouble.0

I've had 2 miscarriages.
My body didn't recognize that baby was dead. I was about 9 weeks along (had heard the heartbeat) and then the next week baby had died. I gave it about another week (I was in denial) and still I never started to miscarry on my own. Had to have a D&C.
Second pregnancy was just off the whole time so I didn't want to rush into another D&C. Again, body didn't recognize baby wasn't growing properly for about a month!! Finally around 10 weeks I had another D&C.
So yes, baby could have passed but body isn't recognizing...
BUT this sounds like drama. Who knows. I would insist brother FORCES himself to said doctor appt.0 -
your brother probably won't listen to anything you say though, so just hope that he opens his eyes. i'm speaking from experience on that one.0

Look the drama queen is probably really great in the sack - the crazies always are! & your Bro isn't thinking with his "big" head:laugh: It will take much more than this for him to come to his senses.
BUT I GAURANTEE IF YOU ATTACK, HE WILL DEFEND HER & BECOME ENTRENCHED!
Toughie:mad:

Consider you rborther lucky that he doesn thave to deal with this woman for rest of his life if it i true. I know that sounds harsh but there is a reason for everything and there is a reason for this to have had happpen.0

I think you should try to stay out of it as much as possible. I have 2 older brothers so I understand how hard it could be. Be there for your brother, give him advice, your opinion, etc.
This girl is the possible mother to your future niece/nephew so I would try to salvage any possibility of having an amicable relationship.0 -
I was polite about what I said. I simply said "I don't think that FB is the place to be airing all this"
She sme back with, "Not to be rude, but you don't know what he has put me through"
I came back with "Not to be rude, but if he is that bad, why do you keep going back to him"
She then got mad and deleted me. It wasn't much said at all, but I did text him and say that I did not like all the muptiple posts, threatening to rip his nose ring out, and her dad coming on and saying that he will leave him his t-shirt to clean up his bloody & snotty nose.0 -
Sounds like you have history with this woman, but I don't know that what your describing seems impossible.
Yes, it is very possible to have a missed miscarriage for several weeks in the first trimester. I don't find it odd that she called someone and asked about their symptoms of miscarriage before having a miscarriage herself. I think a lot of women ask about this because there are so many difficult to interpret symptoms in early pregnancy - slight bleeding, cramping, etc. I'm on a pregnancy forum and women are constantly writing about whether they are having a miscarriage and sharing/comparing symptoms.
The usual range for finding out the sex of a baby is 16-22 weeks, but there are better ultrasounds available these days that can tell you as early as 12 weeks. My mother knew the sex of her last two children at 16 weeks with the older technology.
As for the due date and her saying she's 3 months in March. Meh. Due date calculators go by the date of your last period, which would have to have been at the end of January (around the 23rd) for a 10/29 due date. So, I guess she could have been thinking "jan/feb/mar - going into third month." Who knows. That's the iffy one.
So, yeah, what she is saying seems possible and realistic to me. But, you're asking the question, so you must have some concerns for a reason. I guess you'll know one way or the other, on or around October 29th.0 -
I should metntion that when she had asked my mom, she had aboslutley no symptoms.
I jsut really think that she was lying! And after today, I am ALLLLLLL worked up and ready to fight her. I know it's not my fight, nor should I fight her, but seriously.......what stupid tree did she hit every stick on?!0 -

I really hope she isn't just making it up to manipulate your brother - that's pretty sad if she is. It is hard to watch someone mess with the people you love - been there. Your brother will have to figure this out for himself, though. I know that's not helpful to you right now. I wish I had some good advice, but I can only think of telling you to go for a hardcore workout and burn off some anger - I used to take a boxing class and beat the hell out of the bag when I was feeling down.
Is she claiming that she is still pregnant, but had a previous mc? If she is claiming to still be pregnant and your brother has doubts, she should be able to prove it to him in a satisfactory way (ie, he goes with her to the next ultrasound).0 -
Maybe she was using a different method and didn't know how to calculate her dates.. lol some women go by the time they would have conceived and some go by the docs method (first day of last menstrual period "lmp", which is what I do). Also some women go by the actual calendar as to how many months and how far along they are... others go by the lunar calendar where 4 weeks is one month.. I prefer lunar where everything matches up. lol There are just too many factors to consider.. point is she WAS pregnant and DID miscarry.. you should be supportive of her and your brother instead of trying to find flaws in her story.. you'll turn them both against you in the end if you keep that up.0

Also, I found out gender of my baby (currently 30 wks pregnant) at 19 weeks. They can try to tell you gender earlier.. 17, 18 wks.. but you won't get a 100% until closer to 20 weeks. I KNOW mine is a boy.. lol no mistaking that.0
