TDEE vs MFP calculation for Obese folks

I am 5'7" @ 301 lbs, I classify myself as sedentary as I have a desk job, but do try to be more active. I go to the gym 3x weekly and do cardio (lighter than I should) and lift. I also walk the dog a few times a week and get out for bike rides as time allows (15-65 miles). My BMR according to MFP is 2,284. in the first 7 months(early 2011), I lost 80 lbs with MFP calculations)

So according to MFP for 2lbs a week loss, I need to eat 1870 calories(2,850 - 980 daily deficient).

According to online calculators my TDEE is 3100-3500, based upon sedentary to light activity. So according to other wisdom is should eat 2700- 3000 calories(TDEE X .85)

So should I stick with MFP 1800 calories a day or up it. I have had little weight loss since I added a lot to my activity level(ie the GYM and running)

TIA -- Joe

Why not try upping your intake gradually for a few weeks and see what happens? I am 5'11" and 237 pounds. According to my Body Media Fit, I burn an average of 3000 calories per day including exercise so I try to eat around 2000 calories(give or take a couple hundred depending on the day) I have lost an average of just under 2 pounds per wekk in the 9 weeks since getting the Body Media. I would recommend checking out the eat more to lose more threads. Very informative.
