What are some unique ways you add exercise into your day?

Here are some of mine....


Crunches & Squats when I'm blow drying my hair

Squats in the bathroom @ work

Parking far away from the store to get the extra steps

Any other ways to quickly add exercise into your daily routine?

    I've just started recently, but I'll do vertical pushups on the wall a few times throughout the day at work, usually 3 sets of 10 at a time. It only takes a minute, so it's easy to motivate. I've also just begun to sit on a balance ball instead of a chair, but it's too new to say if I love it or if it's helping or not yet.

    I stand at a microscope a lot during the day so I try to do modified leg lifts while I stand there. I also do semi vertical pushups on the countertop or at the edge of my desk.

    I sit at a desk all day and I have read some articles that if you fidget more you can lose weight or at least lose some calories

    Here are some tips from a fitness pamphlet I'm hoping to get published this summer:

    trade in your chair for a physioball
    go for a walk at lunch time
    go for walking meetings
    keep small weights on your desk and if you have reading, conference call, or 5 minute break, do some arm exercises
    keep resistance bands or ankle weights to do simple quick exercises

    take the stairs twice
    be fidgety, stand often, walk the long way

    make it fun too :)

    I do all of these, lol. I also do butt kicks (30DS) when I run up the stairs at work (we're on the fourth floor and the loo is on ground!) and also squats while I'm in the shower washing my hair.

    The crazy things we do...
