How does my medication affect me...

I think I posted this in the wrong forum last time, so here it is.
I am currently taking Vyvanse for ADD symptoms. It is a stimulant medication and naturally suppresses my appetite. When I first started it, I kind of abused it in that sense...but after losing a lot of muscle strength I decided I needed to suck it up and not try the "easy way"...I have trained myself to eat despite the lack of appetite and have noticed that now it doesn't affect me at all-I can eat half a box of poptarts for the taste alone! My main question is, would a stimulant medication naturally cause my body to require more calories to satisfy maintenance needs?
Thanks!
