Things YOU did that tricked your mind

.. about how big you really are/were

Bit of a random question. It makes sense to me. Not sure if anyone else even went through this!

I'd have to say I have a habit of wearing baggy trousers (Wearing them just under my belly button, Hiding any tummy weight) and a tight vest and then I'd look at myself from the side and It would then appear my ''stomach'' was flat. AND it made me think. 'I'm not big' 'I'm not that as bad as I thought I was' For me a few days later to wear something that didn't fit ect and break down crying. Vicious circle. That I'm finally breaking out of!

And you? :)

Can't think of anything that tricked myself. But I did use to walk around sucking in my gut... like that worked. :embarassed:

you're not.. if something fit me in just the right way and I felt good or it happened to be super flattering I could ignore the things i needed to change, at least that day.. winter also made it easier because bundling up hid more, but come summer I'd have to face how self conscious i was even in shorts that fit well.

dude I totally did this, even when I wasn't really over weight... putting on a little muscle helped end that habit though.
