Ok everyone. This might seem redundant but here is my simple question. People in the gym drink a gallon jug of water. Now on my behalf i can only drink about 20 oz's of water before I have to go pee. I feel like i do not have a great water absorbtion? Now can my nutrtion be affecting my water absorbtion because as an Ultra runner I am trying to learn to consume more water without peeing more? SO whats wrong with me? Why can't i suck down water without peeing reallyquick? I don't even chug the water I just periodically drink it and by the time i get to 20oz's I have to pee.

SO my simple question is this, how can i absorb more water without peeing so quickly. I am not dehydrated and I even get to a point where I feel like i can not drink anymore water as my stomach feels too bloated to suck down water almost like im' topped out on drinking water.

It just takes time for your body to adjust. If you start upping your water quickly then yeah you are going to have to pee a lot. But after a while your body gets use to the water amount you give it and the urge will start to slow. I drink anywhere from 12-20 glasses of water in a day and at first I was going a lot but now it's slowed dramatically.

Hope you get more responds. Good luck

i, too, drink about a gallon of water a day. i increased it while i was on vacation b/c i knew my body would flush it right out. and it did. like every 30 minutes or so. after a few days my body got used to it, so that i can now go hours without going if need be. your body just needs time to adjust.

just a thought, and no evidence whatsoever, but maybe play with the temperature of the water a bit.

    good luck.
