Exercise on vacation

I am going to Sweden in two weeks and am really nervous about how i will exercise when i am there. I will be staying in the capital, Stockholm, which is a large city. Is walking each day enough? How will i make sure that i do not over-indulge on the delicious Swedish cuisine? Thanks!

My family is going to Alaska this summer for 8 days for a land tour. Here is how I am going to handle it: I am taking my exercise clothes in the event I feel the need to work out and have the time, but I am trying not to worry too much about it. A lot of it depends on facilities available, time available, and other activities we do each day. If we are going to be doing a long hike, I probably won't try to work out. And oh yes, it depends on how I eat too. I am a little concerned about the food thing, as I generally try to avoid restaurant food and obviously that is most of what I will be getting while there, as you probably will. I have tentatively decided I will make sure I have some almonds and/or protein bars with me for snacks so I can try to keep my blood sugar somewhat stable and am not too hungry when we get to meals, so I can exercise some self-control. I am also going to try and keep well-hydrated, traveling can dehydrate a person quickly! I am definitely going to relax and try to eat things that I won't normally eat but be deliberate about portion control. It doesn't have to be all or none, maybe a bite or two of a super rich food will be enough to satisfy!

I've not ever been to Sweden, but I know their chocolate is heavenly! I am interested in other advice/ideas that you get.
