Was supposed to be a blind date, but...
she sent me pics, and she is way out of my league. Should I just tell her I'm not going? We are both members of a hobby forum and thought it would be cool to attend an event together. She contacted me first. Last time a girl saw my pics before a blind date (I gave her my facebook), she cancelled 5 mins. before we were supposed to meet claiming something with work came up. She never contacted me again since then to set up another date.

I would take the chance. While we base first impressions on appearance, looks are really only a very small part of who we are. She may be a perfect match for you. Don't sell yourself short.

Hmmm.....I would go with the second and take the chance on the date. Maybe she is tired of looking for men based on looks and she is looking based on personality. Let your personality shine through. Either way, even if it doesnt work you will not be any worse off than if you canceled now.
