My lovely 16oz water bottle isn't quite big enough. Any recs for 1-1.5L stainless steel bottles that don't make the water taste funny? Prefer something with a widemouth opening for cleaning as well.

To my surprise, I found a big BPA free plastic one at walmart that I love! It's double wall insulated and keep everything cold. Best $5 buy ever!0

Kleen Kanteen. I believe mine is 27 ounces. They have insulated and non-insulated. I just use mine for water so I have non-insulated, like this one:

I ADORE my Camelback with a flip up straw - they come in BPA-free plastic and stainless steel (I use the plastic ones - you can find both at Target - the plastic ones are under $14 and the steel ones I think are closer to $20)
I find it is far easier to drink water with the straw - I can literally sit it on my desk and just bend over and drink my water and leave my hands free.
They are really easy to clean too...0 -
Nalgene.com is a good place to start.
They should also be available at most stores.0 -
I use a camelbak 24oz insulated bottle. Works well on bicycle trips in the sun.0

I *love* my Thermos Intak bottle. I drink a lot of flavored water, and I wanted to steer clear of plastic and bottles with plastic straws, etc. The lid pops up when you press the button, and it has a good-sized hole to drink from. Keeps water COLD (ice will stay overnight). The best thing, though, is it won't spill if you pull up the wire bracket--- even when it is rolling around the floor of my minivan! I've had mine a year.

I love my Camelbak too. Even the kids each have one. They don't leak, and they don't have a funny taste, we have plastic ones.0
