I weighed in today after 2 weeks and I have lost 7cms round my waist which I'm really happy about.
I'm just having a bit of a problem understanding as to where the cm's have gone and why I havent lost any actual weight.

I do a lot of step ups and some walking am wondering if I am just developing muscle in my legs?

I have a lot to learn about all this stuff :)

I only do my weigh ins the day after a rest day, because my body seems to retain a lot of water after workouts and affects the scale a lot.

You've probably developed muscle, muscle is a far denser tissue than fat, a pound of muscle takes up far less room than a pound of fat, so if you've gotten smaller but not dropped weight, muscle is most likely the cause of it.

Lots of possibilities. Muscle is more lean than fat so takes up less "space", extra water weight gone?,

This... Fat consumes about 18% more space than Muscle.
