Tadpole in a nutshell

I’m not on a diet, I’m not into fads and the whole “I’m doing this for “[insert short term goal]” I’m doing this because I have a long family history of early death from Heart attack, stokes, diabetes both early onset and adult type two.
All my life I have struggled with my weight, you may feel this is an excuse but I am always hungry even after a big meal I am still hungry, I can count the times I’ve felt physically full. I think it’s a total of about 6 times in the past 21 years. I’ve still hungry now, but I how have the focus and will power to accept what I cannot change ( the doctors don’t believe me when I keep telling them that it is normal for me to be hungry 24/7 to the point it can and has kept me awake at night.
At 16 I had a 50 inch waist, by the time I was 20 I was super fit and had a 34inch waist and a 50 inch chest. By the time I was 45 I was 25 stone, and a 44 inch waist. When my daughter was born I was 37 and I resigned myself to not seeing her go to university. My mother and her side of the family (who I really take after) , died when she was 62, after 27 years of chronic illness, several mini strokes, heart attacks, blindness and amputations, her mother died when she was 54, and her grandmother died when she was in her mid to late 40s.
I have few opportunities to train or go to a gym, not that I can afford to go to a gym. I work long hours (I get up at 5.30hrs and it’s not often that I am in bed before 2230hr)
I have a quite boring occasionally stressful sedentary job. My only opportunity for exercise is cycling to work, something I’ve done for 4 years. It’s not very far (17 miles round trip) and until January this year it made no real difference to my weight or fitness.
Two things happened in January I changed my eating habits, and I found a great phone App called Strava. Strava logs my cycling using GPS, and now I ride to work with a new fresh purpose. I’m riding with a supreme desire to beat my best time, increase my miles, sprint better, and hold the pace for longer, climb higher. It is working. Since January I ride into work three days a week, I’ve lost five inches off my waist, am fitter, faster and getting leaner. Cycling the 8.5 miles to work used to take me 50 minutes, now it takes on average 30.
I used to eat breakfast, then lunch, then nothing at all until eight in the evening, and boy did I eat. Eating a huge meal not long before I went to bed was not the best way to live.
Now I eat a bit of toast at 0530 breakfast at 0900, dinner at 12.00 have a snack of noodles or cuscus at 1600, and my tea in the evening. By spacing out my food I’m not experiencing the energy dips that I used to have, not do I feel the need to eat everything in sight.
As you can tell from my post I write too much, I have AS and Dyspraxia, so If I come across as verbose and overly concerned with minutia it is because I am.
