For all you (british!) bacon lovers, I found a new product in Tesco - Healthy Living unsmoked bacon medallions. Essentially, they're the rounded bit at the end of a bacon rasher, with all the fat and stringy bits cut off. 2 grilled medallions provides 11g protein, only 2g fat, and no carbs. They're also yummy, because duh, it's bacon.

They're quite small, only 65 kcals for 2, so two is perfect for my own bacon cravings but for a decent sandwich, salad or as a meal, you'd need 3 or 4.

I think you get 10 in a pack.

Anyway, they're awesome.

LIDL do really nice thick ones, they are rather like very thin pork medallions with a bacony taste...nice and smoky and perfect in a BELT (bacon egg lettuce tomato sanger).

I adore them and they're pretty much guilt free.

Just made my brother spaghetti carbonara with these, snuck in some broccoli, used milk instead of cream, and an egg to thicken.. I mean, absolutely carb laden, but it's not too bad - for him ;)
