This morning i came across something that shocked me, and made me feel disgusted. I really dont like to talk about others, but i want to know... is this common for MFP??
I came across profiles of some people who are extremely thin.. skeletal, if you will. I am not a professional, but this seems to be very unhealthy, and the fact these people are getting so much 'attention' and support from other users seems so werid.
Does MFP usualyl support this stuff? I am 100% aware everyones body is different, everyones needs are different etc... but I was under the impression MFP supported healthy weight loss...
Maybe im a hypocrite?

There are quite a few unhealthy skinny kids on here. Most of them are that: kids.
I always try to look at the person, their age, their goals, before I chime in with advice on losing weight.

Some of these young girls are so bold as to say: "I'm 14" or "I'm really just 15" in their profile, regardless of the site's age requirement. There are also a couple of 30 year olds with very unhealthy goals who encourage and support these children in their efforts to starve themselves.

It behooves us all to pay attention and not actively encourage unhealthy behaviors. Good for you for noticing and doing something.

I just don't friend people who don't have similar goals as me. The ones who attempt to eat under 1200 calories a day are not the ones I want to see on my feed, so I don't add them. If they bother you, don't add them as a friend and ignore their forum posts.
