I managed to keep off a 50lb weight loss until I started eating gluten free. Now I am struggling to get at least some of the weight back off again. Anyone else here eating gluten free?

Hey! Check out the Groups as there is a Gluten free group on here. There are lots of us. One thing to remember about Gluten free is that just because its gluten free doesn't mean its not Junk!!

Everything I have read about eating gluten free is that gluten free foods have a lot more calories. Just record what you eat and make sure you are under your calories and should be ok.

I was gluten free for a year (man my tummy was happy). In my case, I did NOT eat replacements. They are overly processed, and usually very high in simple carbs.

Sometimes I'll eat corn tortillas, but that's about it.

I have found it easy to eat gluten free... I know that I am not going to eat wrong things when I go out.. Like no rolls and butter, no croutons on salads, or even a sandwich....And there are alot of choices to make at home.... Oh, I do miss eating take out pizza or a good sandwich at Subway.. but I am able to make a good choice. So you have to make good choices and being here on MFP will help you with those choices.... I have had Celiac disease for 4 years and it was not celiac that put weigh on for me, it was menopause....It crept up on me.. I gained 2 1/2 pounds every time I was weighed at the doctors... I have found that in the past year, more companies are making gluten free items so it is easier now...I have some good recipes for a flour mix and some other basic items...Friend me if you would like these..

Thanks to all of you who posted and for the wonderful suggestions. I will try to find the gluten free thread in Groups. I have been gluten free for over 9 years but unfortunately I started off by using the gluten free replacements and now how become used to them. Will be a hard habit to break.
