Comparing other people to yourself

I have to admit, sometimes it URKS me when people try to COMPARE themselves to others with life experience or circumstances. People deal with their time and circumstances differently then other people, people do things differently then other people, people HANDLE things differently then other people. God made each and every one of us differently and have put us all in different lives to deal with similar but different things. Just because you are a Stay-at-Home mom doesnt mean you ahve any more time to do things then a mom that works 40-hour weeks. Or, vice versa. Or, jsut because your a Single Mother doesnt mean it is always any harder then a married couple raising a child.

Dont get me wrong, there are differnt obstacles in ALL situations and I am not down-grading Single Mothers or stay at Home moms or working moms or anything, I am just using that as an example.. EXAMPLE: I have the BIGGEST issue with my Step-father because of this. They life in Florida, he has 3 girls (SC, MD, & NJ), my mom has 3 kids (all in NJ). His 3 girls are able to make it to where they can travel to visit them every now and then but, my brothers and I arent that fortunate to be able to fit it into our schedules/budgets. He complains that his girls have all the same bills but still find the time and $$ to make it down to see them. HELLO, so you pay my bills or receive my paycheck to pay these bills? Do you take the time to KNOW my situation and what we go through living up here as a young family? NO! SO, why compare our lives to my step-sisters, who live totally different lives then we do?

Anyway, my favorite saying is, "Dont compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is about" So, i do my best to not downgrade anyone for what is going on in their lives or what they deal with compared to mine. even if you are my closest friend or family member, I dont live your life nor do I handle things the way you do so, why should i compare? I will give my advice but, i will do my best NOT to compare our lives because we are 2 DIFFERNT people as God intended us to be! :)
