I should cross train

Normally my cardio consists of the occasional power walk, lots of Elliptical, stationary bike and some treadclimber. (my normal morning would include 60 minutes of ellicptical and 60 minutes of either walking or atationary bike) Well, I have been unable to do any of those recently due to unforseen circumstances. So I reached into a drawer and dusted off a Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD. (Somewhere I hae the original series on VHS) Two days later my thighs are still on fire. I can barely get up and down the stairs at work.
So, I realized I need to vary my workouts. This was my OMG! moment for figuring that cross training is a good thing!

Anyone else have that AH HA moment when they realized there workouts were not preparing their muscles for all the things that life can throw at you?

Yes, when I first started working out on this new journey. Man, I wasn't even prepared for life.
