When you fall off . . .

We all, at some point in time, have fallen off this wagon and struggle to get back on. I have fallen off many times. I get into a funk, especially when the losing stops. I am in a funk now. The doctor adjust the amount of insulin I take. <insert screeching breaks here> Weight loss = 0!! It has stopped, again. I know a lot has to do with my body adjusting to an increase of insulin. But dang! How much more can I take? According to the doctor, a lot or at least until I start testing better. So, I am climbing a mountain. At times, I feel like there is no safety net. I just keep climbing and climbing and the mountain gets taller and taller. *ranting done*

My question is: when you get into a funk or fall of this mountain, how do you get back on? What motivates you to continue to live and eat healthy? Do you ever just want to say to hell with this and eat the chocolate cake?

I feel like every time I over come an insulin increase and start to lose again, the doctor increases the insulin levels. (YES, I have talked to him about this. He says to continue to do what I am. He says that eventually I will even this all out and he will be able to decrease my insulin. Right now, I have a hard time seeing this.)

* I do not log food here right now. I log on a diabetic app on my phone that my Doc can see at anytime.
