I started MFP on Monday, and have consistently gone over my alotted protein every day. Do you guys know if too much protein can work against weight loss? I've only ever heard the good things about protein (e.g. keeps you feeling full, longer lasting energy, etc.)

Are you staying with in your calorie count? If you are I think it is fine, some of the suggested numbers for protein, fibre etc. are estimates and each person may be different. Extra protein is good for if you work out a lot too, helps build muscle mass.

From what i read here, the protien settings given by MFP are very low. I always go over each and every single day. I don't worry about it at all.

As long as you're under on your calories, you should be fine.

I always go over in protein, but i know i need to because i do a lot of weight training.
    muscles need protein to build.
a nutritionist told me I should be eating 1 g of protein for every pound I weigh, which is really hard to do.
